About llms.txt
We're on a mission to bridge the gap between websites and AI systems by creating standardized, accessible documentation that benefits both humans and machines.
Our Mission
As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integrated into how we interact with the web, there's a growing need for standardized ways to make website content accessible to AI systems. llms.txt provides that standard.
We believe that well-structured, machine-readable documentation doesn't just help AI systems understand your content better—it also improves the experience for human users by encouraging clear, organized information architecture.
Our Story
The idea for llms.txt was born out of frustration. As AI systems became more prevalent in web development and content discovery, we noticed that many websites weren't optimized for AI understanding—leading to missed opportunities and poor AI interactions.
In early 2024, our team began developing a standardized format that could help websites communicate their structure, content, and purpose to AI systems more effectively. After months of research, community feedback, and iteration, llms.txt was born.
Today, thousands of websites use llms.txt to improve their AI accessibility, and we're proud to be at the forefront of this important intersection between web development and artificial intelligence.
